About The Position

The Vice President of Strategic Transformation will lead transformational initiatives for MSS focused on operational efficiencies, scaling for growth, and more effective collaboration. This role is pivotal in driving strategic transformation and operational excellence strategy across MSS international businesses. The primary goals of the role include owning the end-to-end delivery of the global footprint transformation program, overseeing simplification efforts, managing facility development, equipment transfers, and capital investments. The role involves translating MSS strategic plans into sequenced, 8020 focused, executable programs with detailed timelines, dependencies, risk assessment frameworks, costed CAPEX plans, and milestones. Key program objectives include revenue growth from $400M to $780M, on-time project delivery, and production continuity. The VP will lead cross-functional teams and partner with HR to ensure talent retention and smooth organizational transitions during multi-phase projects. This role leads a team of two regional project directors responsible for delivering projects in-region at site level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management or other related field required.
  • 15+ years of experience in Global operations / manufacturing leadership.
  • 15+ years of experience in Large-scale transformation programmes executed in manufacturing and technology organisations.
  • Proven track record of Multi-site consolidation, ramp programmes and start-ups.
  • Proven track record of Capital-intensive expansion initiatives with significant customer impact.
  • Proven track record of Leading complex global PMOs.
  • Strong programme leadership & execution discipline.
  • Deep expertise in Managing and leading manufacturing operations.
  • Deep expertise in Manufacturing scale-up, facility development, equipment transfer and industrialisation.
  • Ability to operate across Strategy → execution.
  • Ability to operate across Commercial → operations interface including direct to customer.
  • Strong collaboration and communications skills: Has an ability to work with and influence individuals at all levels, internally and externally; someone who can effectively communicate the vision, message, and rationale.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of the global footprint transformation program.
  • Oversee the simplification effort, managing facility development, equipment transfers, and capital investments.
  • Translate MSS strategic plans into sequenced, 8020 focused, executable programs (multi-phase, multi-region) with detailed timelines, dependencies, risk assessment frameworks, costed CAPEX plans and milestones to track project delivery.
  • Accountable for key program objectives and deliverables indicators including revenue growth from $400M to $780M, on-time project delivery, and production continuity.
  • Leads cross-functional teams and partners with HR to ensure talent retention and smooth organizational transitions during multi-phase projects.
  • Lead a team of (2) regional project directors (EU and NA) responsible for delivering projects in-region at site level.
  • Lead planning and execution of operations simplification, brownfield expansions (including planning a future Singapore option), new capacity build-outs aligned to demand growth not already included in local, site plans, and necessary equipment transfer, installation, and qualification programmes following 8020 priorities.
  • With VP Operations & Site leadership, oversee facility design, layout optimization, and ramp readiness to position transformed sites as scaled technology and production centers.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to customer delivery and revenue continuity.
  • With VP Global Operations, develop and deploy MSS standardized playbooks for new equipment onboarding, production ramp/de-ramp planning/scheduling, and capability transfer between sites.
  • Partner with HR and Operations leadership in development of site-level staffing and talent transition plans that support onboarding, redeployment, and retention of critical capabilities, and ensure organizational readiness during transitions through Leadership continuity, Skills transfer processes and Change management execution.
  • Select, appoint, and thereafter directly lead (2) regional project directors responsible for the detailed day-to-day execution.
  • Lead all engagement with statutory bodies and IDEX corporate functions to ensure consistent execution standards across regions while adapting to regulatory environments, trade & compliance processes, and in conjunction with HR, adherence to any all labour consultation obligations.
