About The Position

RB Global is executing a multi-year plan to roughly double GTV. This role owns the work that holds that plan together: the strategy itself, the strategic case for what we acquire, and the operating cadence that converts both into results. You will work for the CDSO and in close support of the CEO. You will do your own analysis and writing, lead a PMO team of four, and drive cross-functional work without relying on formal authority. You are expected to stay close enough to execution to know whether a commitment is real, and you will have latitude to reshape the team as you learn where the leverage is.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm OR roughly 5-10 years of experience, including at least two years at a leading strategy consulting firm.
  • Ability to build models, identify key assumptions, and differentiate between facts and estimates.
  • Skill in framing complex issues concisely, making recommendations, and answering difficult questions directly.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive action in other functions without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated success in changing processes, commercial results, customer outcomes, or decisions through presentations.
  • Experience leading people and elevating the performance of a small team of analysts and project leads.
  • Judgment and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive information regarding the plan, pipeline, and financials before they are widely known.
  • Experience preparing materials for and presenting to a Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the five-year strategy as a living document, refreshing it with inputs from finance, commercial, and operating units, pressure-testing growth math, and creating a "how we win" narrative.
  • Define M&A strategy, including identifying target spaces, building theses and value cases, sizing markets, and setting screening criteria.
  • Shape the strategy and build business cases for physical footprint changes to support the growth plan, such as retail locations, container storage, new service formats, and warehousing.
  • Lead the PMO team to keep strategic initiatives and post-acquisition integrations on track, managing owners, milestones, dependencies, and measures of success.
  • Drive the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual planning and performance cadence, including KPI reporting, business performance reviews, and the planning cycle.
