About The Position

The VP of Strategic Finance leads the build-out of an AI-forward, bottoms-up forecasting process for a top mortgage lender and servicer. This leader will design, implement, and drive team adoption of AI-enabled forecasting, reporting, and analysis, leveraging Claude, Snowflake Cortex, and Snowflake as the primary data platform, so the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team can shift its time from manual production to value-added financial analysis and strategy. The VP also leads in-depth cost-benefit analysis on large technology projects, tracking cost against business benefit. A key component of this role is balance sheet forecasting, supported by a strong accounting/treasury background to help ensure compliance with key liquidity ratios and regulatory calculations. This is a hands-on leadership role: this person will be in the trenches with the team, not just directing from above. The position carries a high degree of visibility and coordination with senior management, including the CFO, and with partners across the company. Successful candidates are highly motivated individuals who excel in a fast-paced environment, have a strong desire to drive change and see results, possess a strong work ethic and leadership skills, work well independently as well as across multi-functional teams, and always strive for excellence.
