About The Position

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Software Engineer in New York, New York to design and develop large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services. Develop software services to onboard trading and post-trading workflows for various asset classes including Equity and Options on distributed system architecture. Design and Implement Order State Management related components for Trading platforms. Conduct scrums and handle deliverables. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

Requirements

Master’s in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or related field of study OR Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience.
Three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as an Assistant Manager Technology, Technology Lead, Systems Project Manager, Technology Specialist, or related occupation in the technology field.
Three (3) years of experience with Java.
Three (3) years of experience with Linux.
Three (3) years of experience with Unix.
Three (3) years of experience with Kafka.
Three (3) years of experience with MQ.
Three (3) years of experience with SQL.
Three (3) years of experience with JDBC, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design concepts.
Three (3) years of experience with Relational Databases.
Three (3) years of experience with Unit testing.
Three (3) years of experience with performance testing.
Three (3) years of experience with Git.
Three (3) years of experience with Perl or Shell Scripting.
Three (3) years of experience with MS SQL Server.
Three (3) years of experience with Redis.
Three (3) years of experience with NoSQL databases.
Three (3) years of experience with Spring Framework.
Three (3) years of experience with XML.
Three (3) years of experience with Distributed messaging.
