About The Position

This role focuses on engineering technical solutions that enhance the trading and implementation functions of active portfolio management. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of systematic solutions used to manage and trade a high volume of retail and institutional portfolios. This individual will bring strong analytical and quantitative skills, a passion for investing and the markets, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate across engineering, portfolio management, trading, and operations teams. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 7-8 years of experience in financial services within an engineering or technology-focused role.
Strong analytical, software design, and engineering fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and a commitment to writing well-tested, maintainable code.
Strong programming skills in Python or modern object-oriented languages such as Java or Scala, with experience building backend services and APIs.
Experience building large-scale, production-grade front-end applications using modern web technologies and frameworks such as React, TypeScript, Angular, or similar technologies.
Experience building and deploying applications using cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS, along with modern containerization and orchestration technologies.
Experience driving adoption of AI-assisted SDLC practices to improve engineering productivity, development efficiency, and code quality.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, with hands-on experience working with relational, SQL, and/or NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

Develop and deploy sophisticated algorithms to efficiently manage and rebalance SMAs, ensuring alignment with portfolio objectives and investment strategies.
Analyze business processes and applications, rapidly learn new systems, and drive automation and operational efficiency through technology solutions.
Design and implement advanced data management capabilities utilizing relational databases and APIs to support scalable and reliable investment workflows.
Evaluate emerging technologies and engineering approaches to support innovation, platform modernization, and strategic business objectives.
Lead initiatives focused on process improvement and trade support across equity, multi-asset, and fixed income SMA portfolios.
Develop high-quality, maintainable software across front-end and back-end platforms while adhering to engineering best practices.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture focused on continuous learning and technical excellence.
