About The Position

Inspire Communities is seeking a VP / Director of Sales & Marketing to own lead generation, sales enablement, sales training, and conversion strategy across the platform. This leader will build structure and discipline into the sales organization, implement training programs to improve close rates, strengthen lead tracking and analytics, align marketing to field execution, and create clarity in accountability across regional sales teams. The role involves building and leading the sales system that drives revenue, occupancy, and portfolio performance, optimizing pricing and inventory in partnership with Revenue Management, and overseeing the marketing team to ensure lead generation translates into qualified traffic with clear ROI and lead-to-close tracking. Collaboration with Operations, Asset Management, Homes, and Lease Administration is also key.

Requirements

  • 10+ years leading multi-region sales teams (for VP-Level)
  • 7–10 years in sales leadership (for Director-Level)
  • Experience in manufactured housing, homebuilding, multifamily, or similar industries
  • Proven success driving absorption and occupancy
  • Sales training and enablement expertise
  • Strong analytical skills with pricing and revenue alignment
  • Executive presence; peer to DVPs (for VP-Level)
  • Hands-on operator with training experience (for Director-Level)
  • Experience improving conversion, CRM discipline, and structure (for Director-Level)
  • Background in scaling or turnaround environments (for Director-Level)
  • Cuts through noise, builds clarity, holds accountability
  • Moves fast, creates momentum, values training and discipline

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the sales system that drives revenue, occupancy, and portfolio performance across all regions.
  • Own sales strategy, execution, and accountability—ensuring homes are consistently and efficiently sold.
  • Partner with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, inventory, and absorption, while monitoring pipeline health, conversion, and close rates.
  • Design and implement structured sales training.
  • Establish a disciplined, repeatable sales process.
  • Lead regular performance reviews with regional leaders.
  • Oversee the marketing team.
  • Ensure lead generation efforts translate into qualified traffic.
  • Establish clear ROI and lead-to-close tracking.
  • Own sales analytics, dashboards, and CRM discipline, translating data into action.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Asset Management, Homes, and Lease Administration to align strategy, execution, and portfolio performance.
