About The Position

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Vice President, Product Operations to lead and drive the AI-era operating model for their 400+ person Product Management organization. This is a hands-on, builder-operator role focused on demonstrating and implementing the future of the Product Management craft. The role involves setting the standard for AI-era Product Managers, personally setting up and showcasing the modern AI development stack (Claude Code, GitHub integration, agentic prototyping, evals frameworks, prompt libraries, AI cost attribution), establishing a unified operating model across Product, Engineering, and Design, managing AI tool governance (sanctioned tools, license management, adoption tracking, ROI measurement, FinOps for LLMs), building a high-leverage execution team of 3-5 senior doers, and leading capability uplift programs for AI fluency, agentic design, evaluation discipline, and outcome ownership across the PM organization. Key year one outcomes include high adoption of sanctioned AI tools, a live shared evals framework for AI features, demonstrable cycle-time reduction in prototyping and PRD-to-mockup, visible PM craft uplift with agentic prototyping capability, and a production-ready shared knowledge management spine.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product or product operations leadership.
  • 3+ years building AI-native products in production.
  • Hands-on with the modern stack: Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, v0 / Lovable / Bolt, evals tooling (Braintrust, LangSmith, or equivalent), RAG architectures, agent frameworks.
  • Led transformation at scale in a 200+ PM organization.
  • Built and led small high-leverage teams.
  • Cross-functional executive influence without formal authority.
  • Independent and self-driven, able to set own agenda and pull the org toward a future others cannot yet see clearly.
  • Technically fluent and hands-on, able to pair on Claude Code with an engineer and have built and shipped AI-native features in production.
  • A charismatic communicator and driver who makes others want to raise their game.
  • A builder whose instinct is to demonstrate, ship, and create reusable infrastructure.
  • A future-oriented operator who has lived this transformation at a leading AI-native organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in organizations like Anthropic, OpenAI, Stripe, Linear, Notion, Figma, Atlassian, Intuit, Shopify, Adobe, ServiceNow, or comparable AI-forward orgs.
  • Founder or early-employee experience at an AI-native company that scaled.
  • Public technical thought leadership (blog posts, talks, open-source contributions, or published frameworks).
  • Experience in regulated industries (legal, financial services, healthcare) where AI governance is non-trivial.
  • Track record of pulling existing organizations through cultural transformation, not just greenfield builds.

Responsibilities

  • Own the future of the PM craft at TR, defining what “great” looks like for the AI-era Product Manager.
  • Set the bar, model it visibly, and create the gravitational pull that raises the entire org.
  • Personally set up and showcase the modern AI development stack: Claude Code with GitHub integration, agentic prototyping workflows, evals frameworks, prompt libraries, AI cost attribution.
  • Establish a unified operating model across Product, Engineering, and Design, ensuring consistent practices, cadences, transparency, and shared knowledge management.
  • Implement AI tool governance, including sanctioned tools, license management, adoption tracking, ROI measurement, and FinOps for LLMs.
  • Build and lead a small, high-leverage execution team of 3-5 senior doers.
  • Develop and execute capability uplift programs focused on AI fluency, agentic design, evaluation discipline, and outcome ownership for over 400 PMs.
