About The Position

The Holganix team is searching for a Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and Business Development to operate as a senior deal-runner and partnership leader across multiple growth businesses. This is not a traditional sales role. This is an action platform for a high-capacity player/coach who can convert high-level access at potential partners into structured opportunities, coordinated execution, and measurable commercial outcomes. The ideal candidate is a proven execution leader with meaningful experience, strong intellectual horsepower, and the ability to operate confidently in executive rooms. They will work externally with senior partners and clients while leading internal cross-functional teams to bring complex partnerships and deals to completion. This role combines strategic thinking, content and narrative capability, and lots of hands-on deal execution. Requirements

  • 8-10+ years in strategic partnerships, business development, consulting, investment, or adjacent senior roles
  • Demonstrated experience structuring and closing complex deals or alliances
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and incomplete information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; fast thinker and fast writer
  • Experience working directly with senior executives and decision-makers
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously
  • High emotional intelligence and collaborative leadership style

  • Enterprise partnerships, platform deals, or multi-stakeholder negotiations
  • Experience in sustainability, technology, finance, agriculture, energy, or regulated markets
  • Consulting, strategy, or investment banking experience

Responsibilities

  • Convert executive introductions and strategic conversations into structured opportunities
  • Lead partnership exploration, pilots, LOIs, and commercial negotiations
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Science/Operations, Legal) to move opportunities to closure
  • Manage multiple high-priority partnership threads simultaneously
  • Develop revenue-generating and platform-expanding alliances
  • Bring strategic and tactical value to M&A teams
  • Confidently engage with C-suite and senior leaders at partner organizations
  • Enter active executive discussions and quickly establish clarity and momentum
  • Represent the company at industry events, summits, and high-level meetings
  • Produce executive-level decks, briefs, whitepapers, and strategic summaries
  • Translate complex technical or market topics into commercially compelling narratives
  • Contribute to thought leadership, panels, and public-facing content as appropriate
  • Lead without formal authority; influence across departments
  • Establish clear next steps and accountability following strategic conversations
  • Maintain transparency and communication with executive leadership
  • Prevent deal decay by ensuring consistent follow-through and momentum
