Vice President of Sales

Lava IslandDenver, CO

About The Position

Lava Island is the Indoor Play Oasis where families play together. We are a screen-free, arcade-free indoor play concept designed for children 12 and under, offering immersive, active experiences for the entire family. Founded in Aurora, Colorado in 2018, Lava Island was created to solve a problem we experienced as parents: finding a place where kids of all ages could play together—and where parents could be part of the fun. As we grow across multiple markets, our focus remains the same: exceptional guest experiences, strong unit economics, and scalable systems that support rapid growth. The Vice President of Sales is responsible for owning and scaling all revenue generated through birthday parties, group events, fundraisers, field trips, and future online booking channels. This role combines near-term execution with long-term systems building. In the early phase, this role operates as a player/coach, stabilizing sales operations, clearing backlog, and hiring and training a high-performing sales team. Over time, the VP of Sales transitions fully into a strategic leadership role focused on revenue optimization, upsells, weekday utilization, and scalable sales infrastructure. This is a highly visible, high-impact leadership role with a clear path to significant upside based on performance.
