About The Position

We are a leading provider of lighting, grip, and production equipment rentals serving the motion picture, television, commercial, and live event industries. With a full inventory of camera-ready gear, expert crews, and strategically located branches across major production markets, we support productions of every size — from independent features to studio tentpoles. As the entertainment industry continues to grow across the Southeast, we are expanding our sales leadership team to strengthen relationships with studios, production companies, rental houses, and independent producers throughout the region. We are seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Vice President of Sales to lead and grow our commercial presence across the Southeast region, including Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina, and surrounding production markets. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building long- term partnerships with studios, production companies, and industry decision-makers. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the film, television, and commercial production industry, an established network of industry relationships, and a proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams in an equipment rental or production services environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with a strong preference for candidates from the film/television production equipment rental, grip and lighting, or broader entertainment services industry.
  • Established network of relationships with studios, production companies, and production personnel throughout the Southeast production markets.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading regional sales teams and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of production workflows, equipment needs, and the competitive landscape for lighting and grip rental services.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout the Southeast region.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting/forecasting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience at a lighting and grip rental company or competitor in the production equipment rental space.
  • Familiarity with state film incentive programs across the Southeast (Georgia, Louisiana, and neighboring states) and their impact on production volume.
  • Existing relationships with major studios, streamers, and independent production companies filming in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to drive revenue growth across the Southeast production market, including lighting, grip, and related equipment rental services.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with studios, production companies, line producers, production managers, gaffers, and key industry decision-makers.
  • Identify new business opportunities, incentive-driven production growth (e.g., Georgia and Louisiana film tax incentive markets), and emerging accounts within the territory.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of regional sales representatives and account managers, setting clear performance goals and accountability standards.
  • Partner with branch operations, fleet, and logistics teams to ensure equipment availability, service quality, and client satisfaction across all Southeast locations.
  • Own the regional sales P&L, including forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting on key performance metrics to the EVP.
  • Negotiate and close large-scale rental agreements and preferred-vendor contracts with production companies and studios.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and production association functions (e.g., Georgia Film Alliance, local IATSE chapters, industry mixers) to build brand visibility and relationships.
  • Monitor competitive activity, market pricing, and industry trends across the Southeast to inform strategy and pricing decisions.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentive compensation.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • The opportunity to lead sales strategy in one of the fastest-growing production markets in the country.
