Summary: The Vice President of Recovery, Housing and Community Supports oversees the administrative, fiscal and programmatic needs of all programs related to Recovery, Housing, Independent Living & Family Supports within Bridgewell. The Vice President is a member of the Operations Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of supervisory and team leadership experience is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years budget management is required
  • Working knowledge of subsidy programs and tenant and landlord rights is required.
  • Working knowledge of substance use disorder including but not limited to residential and outreach services is required.
  • Working knowledge of Homeless Programs and Services is required.
  • Working knowledge of DDS systems, including community-based services is required.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, planning and organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of city, state and federal regulations related to housing and recovery.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Strong change management skills and ability to influence others in understanding and implementing work/business plans.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to develop, manage and monitor large budgets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related products
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and foster positive relationships with funding sources and community groups.
  • Competent in technology to include the ability to coordinate entry into a data management system, use Microsoft Office products proficiently, and records management systems.
  • Must have a current US driver's license and one year of driving experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, leadership, training and mentoring direct reports to ensure performance standards are upheld within programs and that all are working in accordance with agency requirements, mission and goals.
  • Develop annual goals related to training and supervision of management staff to achieve low turnover and increased skill sets among staff members. Foster the growth and development of staff for skill, knowledge and mentoring to achieve desired service results.
  • Oversee issuance of Notice to Quit and coordination with Agency Legal counsel when eviction is warranted.
  • Provide Supervision and oversight to The Director of Independent Living, Director of Family Supports, Director of Housing and Respite, and the Clinical Director of Recovery.
  • Fluency in all regulatory components of each service line; DDS, DMH, BSAS, Mass Health, and HUD as well as local and private funders.
  • Ensure ongoing systems for measuring quality of services and compliance with DDS, DMH and DPH Regulations, CARF standards, HUD Requirements and agency policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that services are maintained according to DDS, DMH and DPH, CARF and all applicable regulatory standards.
  • Manage the operating budget of service lines assigned, ensuring programs operate within budget. Identify trends that may negatively impact the budget, raising fiscal concerns to management and working to determine remedies to address identified concerns.
  • Participate in trade associations and related events and meetings to ensure industry and service knowledge is current and beneficial to Bridgewell operations. Represent Bridgewell on committees and task forces that are beneficial to services and the forward movement of the agency's mission.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with families, funding sources, community groups and other service providers. Integrate ideas for service improvement or change recommended by these groups into operations as needed.
  • Serve as Administrator on Call for all of Bridgewell on a rotating basis with other Vice Presidents.
  • Work with Human Resources and management on employee concerns that arise, determining mentoring/training needs, developmental opportunities and disciplinary action as needed.
  • Identify internal and external talent for key open positions and help direct reports build a strong talent pipeline and succession planning through internal and external recruitment.
  • Build strong teams within their function and create an environment that fosters employee engagement through regular recognition, employee appreciation and people development.
  • Participate in the Strategic Planning process, including committee and sub-committee participation and/or management, and developing and implementing plans that meet strategic goals.
  • Cultivates an environment where the core philosophy of Universal Supports is embraced and promoted across all teams.
  • Ensure all employees – including self- maintain their core training certifications including FA/CPR, PABC and MAP and all other mandatory trainings based on Bridgewell's policies and procedures and are in compliance with all additional required training and certifications as required by their programs.
  • Encourage an environment within their assigned function that welcomes change through effective communication of strategic plans and business initiatives.
