About the position
Forge is seeking an experienced Product Manager/Leader to drive product development for their private market trading platform. The role involves owning the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for the next-gen trading platform, delivering measurable customer outcomes and supporting the company's strategies and objectives. The Product Manager/Leader should have deep customer empathy, domain knowledge, and experience in capital markets and trading to inform product strategy and development. They will engage with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand needs and translate them into product requirements.

Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of successfully building new products from scratch in an environment with high ambiguity/uncertainty, preferably at a fintech or other startup
- Minimum of 4 years experience in capital markets, especially focused on trading, with an intimate knowledge of trading-related customer journeys, investment fund management, and risk management
- Deep customer empathy, domain knowledge, and a systems-thinking lens
- Demonstrated experience in capital markets and trading to inform product strategy and development
- Ability to engage deeply with customers, SMEs, and key internal stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements
- Strong collaboration and alignment skills with stakeholders across the organization, including technology brokers/sales teams, legal & compliance, data, marketing, and operations
- Ability to manage uncertainty within a rapidly evolving asset class/market and make informed decisions
- Experience working closely with UX research & design teams to create prototypes for validation and testing
- Ability to prioritize features, define product requirements, and drive execution in partnership with engineering, program management, design, and other product teams
- Experience in creating detailed user stories and ensuring prioritization aligns with strategic objectives
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and attending agile ceremonies
- Strong communication and presentation skills to evangelize product strategy to internal and external audiences
- Experience coaching and managing a team of product managers, setting high standards of performance and fostering a culture of innovation
- Ability to establish success metrics and continuously measure the performance and impact of the product, making necessary improvements.
