About The Position

The Vice President of Performance and Quality Improvement is a key executive leader at Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada (CCSN), responsible for leading organizational performance management, quality improvement, compliance, risk mitigation, outcomes measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), this position promotes operational excellence through data-driven decision-making, accountability, and a culture of continuous learning while ensuring programs and services align with CCSN's mission, values, strategic priorities, and Catholic social teaching. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Vice President of Performance and Quality Improvement partners with leadership to implement organization-wide performance and quality improvement strategies that enhance effectiveness, improve client outcomes, ensure regulatory compliance, and support long-term sustainability. Through the use of data, evaluation, and performance measurement, this role drives organizational impact and advances CCSN's mission of serving the community.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency with organizational performance management, quality improvement, compliance, and organizational effectiveness principles.

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in performance management, quality assurance, compliance, or nonprofit operations.
  • Proven success in leading cross-functional initiatives that improved program quality, accountability, and operational efficiency.
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance, licensing, audits, and risk management within a human services or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data management systems, dashboards, and impact reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Lean, Six Sigma, Baldrige, or similar performance improvement methodologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an agency-wide Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) framework aligned with the strategic plan.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to the C-Suite, providing expert guidance on quality assurance, operational effectiveness, compliance, performance metrics, and internal systems.
  • Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to organizational strategy, decision-making, and operational planning.
  • Collaborate across departments to align goals, policies, and workflows with CCSN's strategic plan.
  • Lead organization-wide strategic initiatives that enhance quality, consistency, and mission impact.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, accountability, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Establish, monitor, and evaluate organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), outcomes, and performance measures.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, and reporting systems that provide actionable insights to leadership and the Board of Trustees.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans.
  • Ensure organizational goals and departmental objectives are measurable and aligned.
  • Design and oversee quality assurance and continuous quality improvement processes across all programs and services.
  • Lead program evaluation efforts to assess effectiveness, outcomes, and organizational impact.
  • Establish methodologies for measuring client outcomes, program performance, and return on investment.
  • Analyze trends and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Lead accreditation, certification, and quality review activities as applicable.
  • Oversee organizational data collection, integrity, analysis, and reporting functions.
  • Ensure data systems support performance management, grant reporting, compliance monitoring, and program evaluation.
  • Develop meaningful reports and analyses that support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for leadership, funders, and stakeholders.
  • Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with HUD, HIPAA, Fair Housing, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Develop, update, and enforce organizational policies and procedures that support legal and ethical operations.
  • Collaborate with the CAO and leadership team on risk assessment, emergency preparedness, and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and oversee compliance-related training programs for agency-wide staff.
  • Identify opportunities for increased efficiency through improved workflows and technology integration.
  • Support and lead cross-functional change management initiatives related to infrastructure upgrades or organizational change.
  • Promote best practices in performance management, quality improvement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide regular reports and insights on organizational performance, compliance, and quality outcomes to the C-Suite and Board of Trustees.
  • Foster relationships with external accrediting bodies, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to strengthen CCSN's credibility and reputation.
