About The Position

The Vice President of National Accounts is responsible for defining and driving Stateside Brands’ national accounts strategy across both on-premise and off-premise channels. This executive leads a high-performing national accounts team and is accountable for the overall growth, profitability, and strategic direction of Stateside’s national account portfolio, ensuring the brand is well-positioned and competitively executed across all major chains and key partners nationwide. This leader will serve as the primary executive relationship owner with national accounts and a key cross-functional partner who is a critical voice in shaping the company’s long-term commercial vision. The ideal candidate is a builder and operator with deep alcoholic beverage industry experience, proven ability to lead layered sales organizations, and the executive presence to represent Stateside Brands at the highest levels. This role may be based in any major metropolitan area in the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of progressive sales experience within the alcoholic beverage industry, with demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing, multi-layered sales teams.
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading multi-tiered sales organizations, including developing directors and managers to deliver at scale.
  • Deep expertise in both on-premise and off-premise national chain dynamics, including RTD category trends, distributor network management, and retailer/operator relationship strategy.
  • Proven track record of driving meaningful revenue growth, securing key authorizations, and building long-term strategic partnerships with major national accounts.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing trade budgets, P&L ownership, and investment decisions within national accounts.
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration, including aligning commercial and marketing programs at scale.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, VIP, and other relevant sales and analytics tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel nationally up to 50%.
  • Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the national accounts strategy across on-premise and off-premise channels, aligned to Stateside Brands’ overall commercial growth objectives and long-range plan.
  • Lead, develop, and scale the national accounts organization with accountability for the full team of National Accounts Directors and Managers, Chain Execution Managers, and Category Managers and Analysts.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with senior decision-makers at national chain accounts, serving as the primary strategic contact for the company’s most significant partners.
  • Partner with regional field sales leadership and distributor networks to ensure seamless national-to-local execution across all channel programs.
  • Establish performance frameworks and reporting standards for the national accounts team, tracking volume, distribution, pricing compliance, and promotional ROI against targets.
  • Translate market data and competitive intelligence into actionable commercial strategies, continuously optimizing the approach based on channel dynamics and business results.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to align national account programming with broader brand priorities and consumer strategies.
  • Partner with Finance on trade spend management, P&L accountability, and investment prioritization across national accounts.
  • Contribute to annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, ensuring the national accounts function is resourced to deliver on growth targets.
  • Uphold brand standards and Stateside Brands’ values in all customer-facing and internal activities.
  • Represent Stateside Brands with credibility and professionalism at industry events, customer summits, and trade functions.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.
