We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Lifecycle & Marketing Systems to lead customer growth, engagement and retention for a large, multi-location gym brand. This role owns the customer lifecycle from the point an individual becomes a prospect through onboarding, engagement, retention and win back, as well as the marketing systems and data that power personalized, scalable experiences. The position focuses on owned and earned lifecycle channels and marketing systems and does not oversee paid media strategy, execution or budgets. This leader partners closely with Marketing, Product, Technology and Analytics to improve conversion, increase lifetime value and deliver seamless digital and physical experiences.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, digital or growth marketing with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or VP role
  • Proven success leading prospect through retention lifecycle marketing and marketing systems in a multi-location or membership driven business
  • Strong working knowledge of Klaviyo is required, including lifecycle automation, segmentation and performance optimization
  • Demonstrated experience as a people leader, with a servant leadership mindset and the ability to coach, motivate and develop high performing teams
  • Proven ability to manage teams through change, set clear priorities and create accountability while maintaining a positive and collaborative culture
  • Strong understanding of customer data, segmentation, personalization and experimentation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with customer data platforms is a plus, with Amperity experience preferred
  • Fitness, wellness or subscription business experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle Strategy & Revenue Growth Own lifecycle marketing strategy from prospect through onboarding, engagement, retention and win back across owned and earned channels
  • Drive prospect conversion, membership engagement and premium service adoption through lifecycle and CRM led initiatives
  • Align digital and in club marketing efforts to create a cohesive customer journey from first engagement through long term membership
  • Design and optimize customer journeys that increase conversion, engagement and lifetime value
  • Marketing Systems & Data Lead strategy and oversight for marketing systems including CRM, marketing automation, CDP and analytics platforms
  • Implement and optimize personalized campaigns using customer data to drive measurable ROI
  • Leverage analytics, attribution and social listening tools to evaluate performance and guide decision making
  • Ensure data quality, platform scalability and effective integrations across the marketing ecosystem
  • Digital Experience & Platforms Oversee the brand website to ensure it supports lifecycle strategy, conversion goals, messaging and a seamless customer experience
  • Ensure best practices in website UX and UI through non technical oversight focused on conversion and usability
  • Support the development and optimization of a native mobile app to enhance customer experience and engagement
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives that integrate digital and physical touchpoints seamlessly
  • Leadership & Collaboration Lead, mentor and develop a high performing team of five, including two direct reports, fostering a collaborative and positive culture
  • Set clear priorities, delegate effectively and take ownership of critical initiatives tied to lifecycle strategy and systems
  • Partner cross functionally with leadership, Product, Technology and Analytics to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships related to marketing technology and digital platforms
  • Additional Occasional travel for expos, trade shows and networking events, no more than once per quarter
