The Vice President for Instruction and Chief Academic Officer (CAO) provides strategic and collaborative leadership for Robeson Community College’s academic programs and instructional services, promoting excellence in teaching, learning, and student achievement. Reporting directly to the President, the CAO oversees the development and advancement of innovative curriculum offerings, including university transfer and health sciences programs, while fostering collaboration with workforce development and career and technical education initiatives to support workforce and community needs. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Vice President for Instruction works closely with campus leaders to strengthen educational pathways, enhance institutional effectiveness, and support student success. The CAO directly supervises academic deans, the Assistant Vice President of Institutional Planning and Research, and other Academic Affairs personnel. This is an on-site leadership position. The successful candidate is expected to actively engage in campus and community activities, including those occurring during evenings and weekends.
