About The Position

The Vice President of Information Technology (VP IT) is responsible for the strategic planning of the technology infrastructure, information system assets, data management, and enterprise security for Dreamscape’s Rio Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. This includes optimizing the IT function to meet the demands of all the operational and administrative departments to prioritize the assignment of resources, build and optimize the evolving needs to support the data and integration strategies, and establish the objectives for operations, maintenance, and enhancement of the IT systems for continuous improvement of the service levels.

Requirements

  • Minimum ten (10) years of information technology experience, including data strategy and data management.
  • Minimum ten (5) years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, solution-driven, and analytical thinker.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • At least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years experience of leading large teams.
  • Prior hotel or casino experience at the levels of Director, Vice President and above.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (required).
  • Experience working in a similar resort setting.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the protection of IT infrastructure, edge devices, networks, and data; prevention of data breaches, monitoring, and response to cyber-attacks.
  • Provide expertise and leadership in the selection and management of vendors to provide low-cost, high-efficiency solutions.
  • Create IT policies and operational procedures that affect the systems’ data, operations, and reliability of the infrastructure.
  • Seeks out and evaluates opportunities to integrate current systems with third-party software to improve efficiency and communications with suppliers and customers.
  • Maintains Gaming Control Board and SOX compliance protocols.
  • Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
  • Guide decisions in succession planning, culture and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Mentor and provide career pathing to team members.
  • Review and support capital improvement projects across the property with technology solutions to maintain/upgrade property standards and brand image.
  • Identify and adapt to changes in the economic climate and/or company profits and pivot accordingly.
  • Assist Management in maintaining all licenses, permits, insurance and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with Gaming Lease Agreement.
  • Interact on a daily basis with all levels of staff to maintain open communication and collect feedback for analysis (F&B, revenue management, casino operations, hotel operations, human resources, security, etc.).
  • Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
