About The Position

As the Vice President of Human Resources, you will be responsible for supporting nearly 50 professionals building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place throughout Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, Saint Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties. This is a role that does not come open very often; the last two HR professionals were with the organization for about six years each. The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for proactively directing the Council's comprehensive human resources function to include planning, budgeting, data analysis, systems management, full-cycle recruitment, retention, benefits, compensation, performance management, professional development, employee relations, employee engagement, and legal compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and ordinances. You will also be responsible for researching, identifying and adhering to sound business and best human resources management practices. Every day will be different as the Vice President of Human Resources. Every week, you will meet with the CEO 1:1 to discuss priorities, provide thought partnership, and seek guidance; you will also meet with your Human Resources & Administrative Associate to get status updates on assignments, answer questions, collaborate, and provide support. Every two weeks, you will participate in Senior Leadership Team meetings. Every month, you will oversee the processing of benefits bills and filing. Every other month, you will plan and host all-team meetings. Each year, you will oversee the summer camp hiring process, lead open enrollment, and help plan and staff special events like our Annual Retreat and Holiday Party. To thrive in this role, you must be a tech-savvy self-starter with superior multi-tasking and relationship building skills.
