About The Position

JST is currently seeking a Vice President of Growth to support our central team. This executive leader will drive revenue growth by identifying new market opportunities, expanding strategic partnerships, leading business development initiatives, and overseeing capture and proposal efforts. The VP of Growth works cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, finance, and delivery teams to build a sustainable pipeline and achieve long-term business objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, government contracting, or growth leadership.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing growth strategies for small businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of federal government procurement processes.
  • Experience with contract vehicles such as GSA Schedules, IDIQs, BPAs, and GWACs.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain executive-level customer and partner relationships.
  • Strong understanding of capture management and proposal development.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • MUST be able to pass a US Government Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Shipley Business Acquisition process would be valuable.
  • Previous experience with a big four or blue-chip consulting company would be valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Proven track record of sales, business development and capture experience.
  • Must have helped close deals of at least $15M in new business and RFPs.
  • Ability to drive/follow the Account Management and lead the Capture process from opportunity positioning and qualification through proposal development and opportunity closing.
  • Experience helping a small business graduate and be successful in a full and open environment.
  • Prior experience with Shipley Business Acquisition process would be valuable.
  • Should have a track record of hiring great talent. Must have a good retention rate with employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to cross-sell capabilities and solutions to adjacent markets.
  • Must understand the full capture lifecycle and been successful in various customer domains within the federal Civilian sectors.
  • Previous experience with a big four or blue-chip consulting company would be valuable.
  • 10-20 years of GovCon experience, principally in the defense market.
  • Located in the Washington DC area.
  • Expert knowledge of the government procurement process.
  • Knowledge of the FAR and a consistent history of winning.
  • Experience in pricing and helping produce winning proposals.
  • Will have excellent organizational skills and strong network in the federal contracting community.
  • Must have a strong reputation with customers and colleagues.
  • Will be responsible for the proposal pipeline development & the proposal team.
