About The Position

Develops and maintains business relationships with new and existing commercial borrowers and deposit customers. Services a wide variety of businesses and individuals loans, both secured and unsecured.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 8-9 years lending experience required or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced training, knowledge and experience in commercial lending
  • Strong time management, sales, business development, computer and analyzing financial statements required.
  • Must be self-motivated, sales oriented and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Interviews applicants to develop information concerning their business, needs, desires, abilities and earnings to determine whether a loan may be an acceptable risk.
  • Makes decisions on loans and terms within own lending limits, or makes recommendations on significant loans to a supervisor.
  • Underwrites loans acceptable to loan policy guidelines.
  • Reviews closing documents and closes loan with customer.
  • Follows current loans to ensure complete conformity with terms and knowledge of developing trends.
  • Provides advice and guidance to team members on commercial lending practices and procedures.
  • Calls on existing or potential customers to develop new business and to retain or increase existing business.
  • Cross-sells and refers a full range of banking services to present and potential customers.
  • Meets with customers to discuss needs and recommends ways the bank can serve their needs.
  • Supports and assists in the implementation of all bank marketing and sales strategies designed to maximize growth and profitability.
  • Maintains positive relationships with bank staff and works with management to help facilitate a total team concept.
  • Keep informed on changes within our market, recommending market opportunities for growth and development.
  • Reviews delinquent reports and/or files to determine plan of action.
  • Executes plan of action-phone, letters with goal being to determine problem and resolve.
  • Evaluates the performance and develops goals for direct reports, coaches to improve performance with monthly one on one meetings.
  • Provides career development guidance.
  • Provides recommendations to Chief Lending Officer for compensation decisions, hiring and disciplinary action for direct reports.
