About The Position

The purpose of this role is to provide integrated strategic and operational oversight for the organization's crisis care continuum, spanning community-based diversion and short-term inpatient stabilization, ensuring exceptional patient throughput, operational efficiency, and consistent clinical quality across all service delivery platforms, reporting to the EVP. This position exists to: Lead and oversee the acute care and crisis stabilization continuum Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards Provide Strategic and Operational Oversight Integrate the Crisis Continuum and Flow Drive Operational Performance & Consistency Ensure Crisis Safety, Quality, and Compliance Manage Financial & Contractual Outcomes Develop and Mentor Director-Level Leadership. As a senior leader, this position serves as the cultural and operational anchor for the crisis care continuum. The Vice President cultivates leadership at the Director level, champions core values of compassionate client care and collaborative problem-solving, and drives organizational success through rigorous adherence to safety, quality, and financial stewardship. This leader translates strategic initiatives into consistent operational excellence, empowering teams to deliver high-quality, efficient care across all acute and community-based service lines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Social Work or related field preferred
  • Minimum of (3) years of progressively responsible crisis management experience
  • Minimum of (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience overseeing multi-site operations and teams
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between agency locations
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic and operational leadership within high-acuity behavioral health or crisis care settings
  • Expertise in managing integrated care models, specifically community-based diversion and short-term inpatient stabilization.
  • Strong financial acumen with a track record of managing operating budgets and ensuring revenue integrity
  • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and safety standards in crisis services.

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end patient flow from diversion programs into and out of short-term inpatient crisis units, focusing on reducing avoidable hospitalizations and ensuring seamless transitions across the service lines.
  • Translate the EVP’s strategic directives into actionable operational plans for both the community/diversion and inpatient crisis teams, ensuring consistent execution and adherence to standardized care models.
  • Provide expert oversight to mitigate high-acuity risks specific to crisis services, ensuring regulatory compliance and achieving high standards of clinical quality across the entire continuum.
  • Accountable for the financial performance and resource allocation of both the Community/Diversion and Short-Term Inpatient Crisis departments, ensuring contracted performance targets and utilization metrics are met.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to the two reporting directors to cultivate a high-performing, resilient, and accountable leadership team.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and performance management for staff, establish department goals and accountability standards, support staff development and operational consistency across crisis functions
