Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in natural channel sales, including direct ownership of national retail accounts; experience managing Whole Foods and/or Sprouts strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred with sales experience.
  • Experience within the vitamins, supplements, or health and wellness category strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving growth within the natural channel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret syndicated data (SPINS, IRI, Nielsen).
  • Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and lead customer discussions at a senior level.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, profit margins, commissions, and percentages.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Strong analytical skills are a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing Whole Foods and/or Sprouts strongly preferred.
  • Experience within the vitamins, supplements, or health and wellness category strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage headquarters-level relationships with Whole Foods and Sprouts, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Develop and execute strategic customer business plans to deliver revenue growth, profitability, and increased market share.
  • Drive base business growth through improved velocity, expanded distribution, and new item placement.
  • Plan and execute promotional strategies aligned with account objectives and company goals.
  • Lead joint business planning meetings and ongoing account discussions.
  • Develop and manage trade funding, ensuring alignment with budget and profitability targets.
  • Provide input on pricing strategy by retailer and channel.
  • Utilize data and analytics (SPINS, IRI, Nielsen) to inform decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support execution across supply chain, finance, marketing, and operations.
  • Partner with customers on new product initiatives and innovation opportunities.
  • Manage deduction resolution and payment issues in coordination with internal teams.
  • May lead and develop a small team (1–2 direct reports), depending on experience.
  • Requires travel as needed to best support accounts’ needs.
  • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
