About The Position

Healthcare Administrative leader for a San Francisco based multi-specialty medical group that provides primary through quaternary care in both ambulatory and hospital settings. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong operational background gained from experience within a health system, and an appreciation of medical group practices. You will join a team whose mission is to provide integrated, comprehensive, world class, patient centered medical care, while advancing medical knowledge and educating tomorrow’s physician leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise risk management initiatives, including operational, regulatory, compliance, financial and reputational risk assessment, and mitigation within a complex, integrated healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, manage and maintain the operating support functions and leadership needed to efficiently operate the medical group.
  • Ensure the effective operation of practices according to business plans and budgets.
  • Collaborate with other team members and physician leadership on the overall administration of policies and procedures.
  • Participate in medical group committees that intersect with medical group operations.
  • Support presentation of committee recommendations to the medical group Board of Directors.
  • Manage vendor relationships for delivery of outside services to the medical group.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations to optimize services.
  • Lead negotiation for key contracts for physician services.
  • Align physician contracts and payment methodologies to provided consistency and standardization, which includes a systematic and measurable system of payment.
  • Demonstrate a passion for growing and investing in physicians to develop their administrative capabilities and leadership.
  • Collaborate with physician leadership to develop strategic growth opportunities.
  • Partner with System Service Line leadership to ensure alignment of objectives and consistent implementation of key strategies.
  • Actively oversee physician recruitment and growth.
  • Oversee onboarding and integration of new physicians and services.
  • Assimilate acquired specialty services and new programs into the operating model.
  • Partner with Legal Counsel to proactively identify, manage and resolve legal, regulatory, and contractual matters affecting medical group operations.
  • Provide executive oversight of legal matters related to physician employment, contracting, business transactions, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance, ensuring operational practices align with applicable laws, organizational policies, and enterprise risk management objectives.
  • Role model excellence in communication internally and externally with medical group leadership, Foundation and Hospital leadership, System Service Line leaders and other key leaders within the greater health system.
