About The Position

Doxel is seeking a strategic, commercially oriented Vice President of Marketing to define and lead a new category at the intersection of AI, operational insights, and construction. This role involves naming the category, defining its positioning, and shaping market understanding. The ideal candidate excels in positioning, narrative, product marketing, category creation, and executive communication, with sufficient fluency in demand generation, field marketing, ABM, and corporate marketing to lead the entire function. This position collaborates closely with sales, product, and the executive team to enhance Doxel's market clarity, competitive advantage, and visibility. The VP, Marketing will report directly to the CEO.

Requirements

  • A track record of pioneering market-defining strategy, with evidence of business impact (e.g., category awareness lift, pipeline/revenue acceleration, win-rate improvement, sales cycle compression, or a documented shift in analyst/media/customer narrative).
  • Experience building positioning and messaging for multiple stakeholder personas in a complex sale.
  • Executive presence; ability to operate credibly with executives and customers, create clarity out of ambiguity, and possess strong commercial judgment.
  • Experience playing a meaningful role in scaling a company's go-to-market engine through a significant growth stage.
  • Ability to attract and manage top marketing talent with credibility across marketing functions, while also building and executing alongside a lean, senior team.
  • AI orientation with direct application to marketing operations; understanding of AI as a force reshaping company operations and experience directing or overseeing the use of AI tools for marketing reporting, attribution, or campaign optimization.
  • Prior experience at a high-growth, category-defining startup, ideally within the Enterprise B2B SaaS environment.
  • Ability to synthesize learning into a credible point of view, produce high-quality content under tight deadlines, and drive multiple workstreams with a bias for action.
  • 12+ years of progressive marketing experience, with a track record across the specified areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-ASP enterprise sales motions, ideally with deal sizes above $100K.
  • Experience in complex vertical markets.
  • Experience with owner/GC or construction-adjacent audience.

Responsibilities

  • Define, name, and lead the category Doxel is creating at the intersection of AI and construction.
  • Define and execute the overarching marketing strategy for Doxel, ensuring alignment with company goals and category-creation objectives.
  • Own positioning, differentiation, persona messaging, and customer narrative, making Doxel's story simple, credible, and commercially useful.
  • Partner with sales to ensure all collateral, pricing conversations, proposals, and executive narratives reflect cohesive, differentiated messaging, updated in real time.
  • Own category narrative, brand, and market-level storytelling; establish Doxel as a thought leader on operational insight, AI adoption, and construction industry change through original content and points of view.
  • Support demand generation and field marketing teams, directing demand gen toward a concentrated, high-value ICP through account-based, sales-aligned programs.
  • Build field marketing motions (executive dinners, regional forums, user conferences) that turn customers into visible proof points and industry heroes.
  • Recruit, coach, and lead a lean but senior team across product marketing, corporate marketing, demand generation, and field marketing.
  • Develop team members and foster a culture of ownership and strong execution.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to product, sales, and the executive team, influencing roadmap and narrative decisions and driving pipeline and revenue growth.
