About The Position

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer in New York, NY to build P&L automation applications for various asset classes like Equity, Debt, M&A and other advisory products to improve efficiency and manage proper data lineage. The applications are time critical and proper error handling or exception situations need to be accounted for and report/raise notifications. Guide developers on building innovative solutions while developing quality applications delivered timely. Work using Agile methodologies and collaborate with global teams of product managers, developers, and QA. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. The employer will accept a 3 or 4 year Bachelor’s degree.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Senior Manager, Project Manager, Senior Software Developer, or a related occupation.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with Java.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with functional and reactive programming.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with SQL Server.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with Sybase.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with Informatica.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with DB2.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with MongoDB.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with Spring Containers (with Spring Boot) for enterprise applications.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience building data-intensive / real time applications.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience scaling of applications including: multithreading, performance, maintainability, robustness.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with XML.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with JSON.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with SOAP REST Services.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience developing REST APIs using Spring Boot (reactive).
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with Open API backend web development technology.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with asynchronous messaging.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with cloud computing.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience with Python/Shell scripting.

Responsibilities
