About The Position

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer in New York, NY to partner with global Finance stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, perform data reconciliation, assess system impacts, and translate complex business needs into robust, technology-driven solutions. Oversee the physical and logical data modeling, ETL pipeline design, reporting application and API for downstream design, development, and deployment of applications and data platforms that enable accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. Manage all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements prioritization, technical design reviews, code review, and production deployment governance. Ensure that system architectures meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, performance, and audit readiness. Lead and mentor a global engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Requires seven (7) years of experience in the position offered or seven (7) years as an Associate, Senior Software Engineer Consultant, or a related occupation
  • Requires seven (7) years of experience with the following skills: data warehouse – Teradata; data modeling for the financial industry; and ETL tools.
  • Requires six (6) years of experience with the following skills: SQL.
  • Requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills: leading software development teams; and DevOps including: CI/CD, and Jenkins.
