About The Position

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer in New York, New York to develop enterprise applications for the Finance division. Renovate and automate business processes involving the production of the firm's balance sheet and reporting financials to regulators globally. Maintain the technology platform that enables the Finance Regulatory Controllers group to collect and report on the firm's balance sheet, capital and liquidity ratios, and financial reports. Build and maintain proprietary in-house and vendor-based applications that operate on large volumes of data, perform critical financial calculations, and produce complex reporting. Implement agile principles for the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and work on a range of technologies including web based front-end, java-based server side, and databases. Renovate the tech stack further to adopt cloud-based technologies. Work on AI initiatives using Snowflake Cortex to integrate with the firm’s “Talk to Your Data” capabilities. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study
  • Five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Principal Consultant, Manager, Software Engineer, or a closely related occupation
  • Five (5) years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Five (5) years of experience with Datawarehousing concepts and tools
  • Five (5) years of experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines
  • Five (5) years of experience with DevOps
  • Five (5) years of experience with Jenkins
  • Five (5) years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Five (5) years of experience with Autosys
  • Five (5) years of experience with Data Analysis, Data Modelling, and Business Analysis
  • Five (5) years of experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Three (3) years of experience with Teradata and Snowflake
  • Three (3) years of experience with Scala and Python
  • Three (3) years of experience with Tableau
  • Three (3) years of experience with Financial Accounting
  • Three (3) years of experience with System Reliability Engineering

Responsibilities
