About The Position

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer in New York, New York to design and implement critical systems for the electronic real-time trade reporting plant in North America. This role involves leading efforts to communicate with business owners, building and testing the electronic trading system to support business growth in North America and other regions. The position also includes managing robust messaging middleware/tooling, improving the software development life cycle process (e.g., code review/TDD/DevOps), driving technical renovation globally to enhance trade reporting system observability and AI integration, providing required support and training as the development team grows, and offering on-site production IT environment support. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days per week.

Requirements

  • Master’s in Engineering (any), or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Vice President, Associate, or a related technical occupation.
  • Three (3) years of experience with C++.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Java.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Python.
  • Three (3) years of experience with SQL.
  • Three (3) years of experience with JSON.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Git.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Linux.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Object Oriented Design.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Data Structure.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Three (3) years of experience working in Financial Services Environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement critical systems for electronic real-time trade reporting plant in North America.
