About The Position

The Vice President of Information Technology (VP, IT) is a strategic executive leader responsible for defining and executing the company’s global IT vision. Ensures that information technology, digital capabilities, and data strategy are fully aligned with business objectives, enabling growth, innovation, and operational excellence in a highly regulated environment. This leader oversees all aspects of IT, cybersecurity, and data to drive competitive advantage through technology.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including executive-level roles
  • Prior experience as a VP or senior IT leader in medical device, life sciences, or other regulated industries
  • Proven success partnering with executive teams and Boards
  • Track record of leading digital transformation and scaling IT in global organizations
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, QMS, PLM)
  • Experience in SOX controls and environment required of a public company
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and modern data architecture
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence at the Board and C-suite level
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
  • Proven ability to lead through complexity and change
  • Collaborative, with a strong partnership mindset across functions

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a forward-looking, enterprise-wide IT and digital strategy
  • Align technology investments with corporate priorities, including growth, innovation, and global expansion
  • Advise the Company and Board on technology trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Commercial, R&D, Quality, Operations, and Finance leaders
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve: Revenue growth and customer engagement, Product innovation and development cycles, Operational efficiency and scalability
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that transform how the business operates
  • Own the enterprise data strategy, governance, and architecture
  • Enable advanced analytics, business intelligence, and AI/ML capabilities
  • Ensure high-quality, trusted data is available to drive decision-making across the organization
  • Champion data as a strategic asset across clinical, commercial, and operational domains
  • Establish and maintain a robust cybersecurity program to protect company, patient, and partner data
  • Oversee enterprise risk management related to IT systems and infrastructure
  • Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities
  • Regularly report on risk posture to executive leadership and the Board
  • Ensure all IT systems and processes meet regulatory requirements, including: FDA (21 CFR Part 820 / Part 11), HIPAA, GDPR, and global data privacy regulations
  • Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams on: Computer System Validation (CSV), Audit readiness and compliance oversight
  • Maintain inspection-ready systems and documentation
  • Own and optimize the global IT budget
  • Ensure disciplined investment with clear ROI and business impact
  • Manage strategic vendor partnerships and technology ecosystems
  • Negotiate enterprise-wide contracts and services
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT organization
  • Develop leadership bench strength across infrastructure, applications, security, and data
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Elevate IT as a strategic function across the enterprise
