Reporting to the Chief Strategy and People Officer, this is a highly visible, executive leadership role that understands that developing people is the most sustainable competitive advantage. This is not a role for someone who wants to operate from the sidelines. We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on leader who can influence at the executive level while being deeply involved in HR activities and staying connected to the people and teams that make Fieldpiece successful. You’ll lead a small team to accomplish transformational HR initiatives across talent development, organizational design, workforce planning, on/off-boarding, total rewards, and global HR operations - all while fostering a high-performance culture rooted in humility, accountability, and growth. This position requires being on-site every day in our current Orange, CA office with an exciting move to Tustin, CA in 2028. Travel up to 15% is anticipated.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree (MBA, HR, or related field) preferred
  • 8–10+ years of experience at a senior level in Human Resources at a growing company, with at least 3 years on an executive team at a VP level or higher
  • Proven experience leading HR Business Partners in a complex organization, with locations in North America, Europe and Australia
  • Strong background in: Talent development and leadership programs, Workforce planning and organizational design, Recruitment and onboarding, Compensation and benefits strategy, Learning & Development (L&D), HR compliance and employee relations
  • Demonstrated global HR experience, particularly in Europe
  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior leadership
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in scaling organizations or supporting high-growth environments
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using HR analytics, and experience rolling out AI programs across a dispersed workforce
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
  • Experience with Paycom and Workday HCMs
  • Certified in DiSC, Korn Ferry assessment tool, and/or Hogan

Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Lead and mentor a team focused on human resources, employee relations, learning and development, office management, total rewards (compensation, benefits, and culture), talent acquisition, onboarding, and compliance.
  • Drive organizational design, change management, and culture initiatives
  • Champion the Fieldpiece Culture and Ways of Working across all locations (California, Utah, Georgia, Europe and Australia).
  • Design and implement leadership development and succession planning programs
  • Oversee learning & development (L&D) strategies and programs to build organizational capability
  • Foster a high-performance, growth-oriented culture
  • Enhance onboarding programs to scale and improve time to efficiency
  • Lead workforce planning initiatives to ensure the organization is equipped for future growth
  • Use data-driven insights to guide hiring, retention, and talent allocation strategies
  • Upskill workforce and plan for AI and technology advancements
  • Conduct Exit Interviews
  • Oversee total rewards strategy including compensation, benefits, and incentive programs
  • Ensure competitive and equitable pay practices aligned with market trends
  • Manage healthcare renewal and ongoing relationships with vendors (self-insured experience a plus).
  • Manage sales incentive programs that are aligned with company growth targets
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state (California, Utah, Georgia), and international labor laws and regulations (Western Europe and Australia)
  • Partner with legal teams on employee relations, policies, and risk mitigation
  • Manage employee policies, compliance with required training programs and safety programs
  • Support and expand global HR operations, with a strong emphasis on Europe
  • Navigate regional employment laws, cultural nuances, and operational complexities
  • Resolve employee relations issues
  • Align global HR practices while maintaining local relevance in each location
  • Manage employee experience and drive engagement within the full employee lifecycle
  • Be the site leader for the California office and ensure the office runs smoothly including facilities, safety, rewards, etc.
