About The Position

The HRVP drives the development and execution of HR strategies by partnering proactively with stakeholders and clients to achieve organizational goals. By offering expertise on organizational effectiveness, the HRVP guides the business through collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and the Business Support Center (BSC) to deliver high-quality HR services. Additionally, they advise management on navigating Human Resource challenges and opportunities while maintaining compliance with Company policies and all regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years in an HRBP leadership role
  • At least 5 years of experience successfully leading teams
  • Proven success managing HR in mid-to-large manufacturing or distribution environments with remote operations
  • Strong business/financial acumen and digital proficiency (Workday, Google Workspace, PowerBI, AI)
  • Exceptional collaboration and influence skills; high degree of change, people, and mental agility
  • Strategic global mindset with the ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency
  • Comfortable communicating and interacting with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds across Air Liquide, Airgas and externally
  • Demonstrate the influencing and leadership skills required to drive continuous improvement of processes to maximize the Air Liquide, Airgas and local business performance
  • Moderate travel (some overnight)
  • Job requires visitation to various Airgas and customer sites, which have varying environments/conditions, layouts, and accessibility

Responsibilities

  • Engage deeply with the broad business vision to align HR priorities with strategic goals and organizational missions
  • Influence human capital outcomes by leveraging a strong understanding of business operations and financial drivers
  • Employ data-driven insights and AI analytics to inform HR strategies and foster continuous improvement
  • Act as a catalyst for cultural change, advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion while enhancing engagement through systemic improvements
  • Lead comprehensive workforce planning (including annual PEX HDCT target setting), including talent acquisition, succession planning, performance management and engagement to support the overall labor needs of the business
  • Cultivate robust talent pipelines and facilitate regular talent reviews to identify High Potentials and develop future leadership.
  • Conduct and participate in regular cadence talent reviews (business, functional) at the local and company level where required
  • Good understanding of Airgas and International Mobility processes
  • Collaborate with CoEs to ensure compliant and effective labor relations, minimizing organizational risk while attracting diverse talent
  • Mentor the HR team, providing feedback and opportunities for professional growth
  • Direct long-term HR strategies that anticipate human capital needs and align with Airgas and Air Liquide global initiatives
  • Lead HR activities related to Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and manage associated risks
  • Promote efficiency by directing leaders to self-service portals and utilizing the HR BSC to scale administrative tasks
