About The Position

This role is responsible for providing direct leadership and support to the management team, overseeing all functional areas and global revenue streams including Rentals, Pumps, Units, and Parts/Tools/Accessories. The position ensures the management team is staffed and supported to achieve strategic goals and execute annual operating plans. Key responsibilities include developing and executing multi-year strategic plans and annual operating plans covering new product development, P&L, balance sheets, capital spending, cash flow, and inventory. The role involves developing and monitoring action plans to address resource gaps, communicating business strategies to stakeholders, and championing Lean Enterprise and 80/20 initiatives to improve product delivery and profitability. Oversight of compliance, quality systems, and manufacturing standards is crucial. The position also involves participating in supply base integration and ESG/FSC initiatives, serving as a public spokesperson, leading employee meetings, partnering with HR on talent management, and supporting the annual Talent Review process. Additionally, the role supports Enterprise Risk Management, Long-Term Financial Model development, and Investor Relations initiatives. Field engagement with customers and sales teams is expected to understand market trends. Performance management and career development for direct reports are key, along with ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies. The role acts as a goodwill ambassador for Corporate, delivering messaging, identifying engagement opportunities, and providing feedback. Travel up to 20% is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field required
  • Requires 10+ years of experience in Operations, Product Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, Materials, Quality Systems and Human Resources in a manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate sound interpretation of financial documentation and associated analysis
  • Experience in manufacturing planning and sales cyclicality required
  • Very proficient in business systems including Microsoft Office and manufacturing software

Nice To Haves

  • MBA preferred or, direct experience managing a manufacturing plant may be considered in lieu of MBA
  • Experience in managing multiple levels of customer relationships in a dealer environment considered an asset
  • Previous experience in Sales, Marketing and Information Technology is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Heavy Equipment Systems (hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, engines, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, monitor, and report on action plans to address resource gaps and achieve business objectives.
  • Communicate key business strategies and plans to stakeholders and implement change management principles.
  • Champion Lean Enterprise and 80/20 initiatives to improve product delivery, performance, and profitability.
  • Oversee all Compliance, Quality Systems, and maintain manufacturing standards.
  • Participate in the development and execution of supply base integration strategies, including ESG/FSC initiatives.
  • Serve as a public spokesperson for the business with customers, dealers, and at public meetings.
  • Lead monthly all-employee meetings to ensure leadership visibility, organizational alignment, and effective communication.
  • Partner with HR on talent management, HR planning, and employee relations.
  • Lead the annual Talent Review process to support succession planning.
  • Support the company’s Enterprise Risk Management process and Long-Term Financial Model development.
  • Support Investor Relations initiatives by facilitating plant tours.
  • Engage with customers and direct sales teams in the field to understand market trends.
  • Manage the performance of direct reports and implement career development plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all required legislation and company policies.
  • Act as a goodwill ambassador for Corporate with local management and employees.
