About The Position

Central Baptist College in Conway, Arkansas, seeks an innovative and experienced financial administrator and leader with a proven track record in the management of financial systems to serve as Vice President for Finance. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President for Finance (VPF) serves as chief financial officer of the College. The VPF will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the College’s finance and accounting functions, business services and auxiliary enterprises, human resources, facilities and physical plant operation, and information technology. As a member of the President’s Executive Leadership Team, the Vice President for Finance will support the President and will contribute to the strategic objectives and direction of the College by providing sound and ethical fiscal planning and financial management to ensure the long-term financial stability and growth of the College.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, or a related field required.
• Minimum of five years of accounting or finance experience in higher education, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong leadership, financial management, and administrative experience.
• Ability to serve in a full-time, 12-month executive leadership position.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of Central Baptist College.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Strengthen financial controls, reporting accuracy, and internal processes.
• Partner with the President and Board to implement long-term financial strategies.
• Oversee audits, compliance, and regulatory reporting.
• Identify opportunities for cost containment and operational efficiency.
