About The Position

The Vice President of Finance (FPT&IR) will lead NuScale’s financial planning, treasury and investor relations functions, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Acting as a key strategic partner and coordinating critical company-wide initiatives, this experienced individual will provide leadership and ensure coordination across corporate forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, treasury, and investor engagement. This executive will oversee the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Treasury and Investor Relations (IR) teams, ensuring alignment of NuScale’s financial strategy with its long-term business objectives. The VP will collaborate closely with the CFO and senior leadership to communicate the Company’s financial performance, capital strategy, and growth initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders. The role requires strong analytical acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear strategic insights that support decision-making and enhance shareholder value. It also requires executive coordination between senior management and functional leads within the departments (FP&A, Treasury and IR).

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, along with a graduate or professional degree such as an MBA, CFA, CPA or similar
  • A minimum of 15 years of full-time, applicable working experience with increasing responsibilities as a financial analyst, treasurer or in investor relations.
  • At least 3 of those years in a supervisory role managing the work of others is required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate expertise with financial modeling and analytical skills as well as communicating and messaging on behalf of a public company.
  • Candidates will need to have excellent communication abilities, including producing significant amounts of presentation and written content, and be able to deliver in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive oversight of NuScale’s FP&A function, including forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and strategic long-range planning.
  • Lead the Senior Director, FP&A in developing a rigorous, data-driven financial planning process that aligns business performance with corporate goals.
  • Partner with the CFO and executive team to deliver insightful financial analysis supporting strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and operating efficiency.
  • Oversee preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting packages, board presentations, and performance dashboards.
  • Ensure integration between FP&A, Accounting, and Investor Relations to maintain consistency across financial narratives, forecasts, and external communications.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, tools, and processes to enhance forecasting accuracy, scenario planning, and data integrity.
  • Provide executive oversight of treasury operations, including cash investments and payments, foreign exchange, debt and equity capital management including ATM/MNPI (Material Non-Public Administration) to sell Class A Shares.
  • Develops and executes short and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Provides analytical and executive support to treasury-related activities.
  • Coordinates with various departments and forecasts cash flow of the company (both short term and long term) and provides information on placement of money.
  • Responsible for all bank transactions and maintenance/Tracking of all activities of bank account data, meeting SOX control procedures.
  • Leads the team in line with existing treasury and ORACLE Fusion ERP SOX procedures.
  • Provides oversight of administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
  • Ensures that adequate, qualified resources are assigned and roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.
  • Identifies, mentors, and develops organizational talent.
  • Develops team members’ capabilities in support of individual career goals and team objectives.
  • Ensures income and congregation accounts tally with each other as per established accounting procedures.
  • Administers efficient operation of treasury and ensures strict compliance with national/government/NRC financial policies.
  • Plans and evaluates treasury’s financial operation.
  • Participates in various Finance committees as a member and provides assistance to prepare budgets.
  • Reviews daily or weekly cash flows and prepares an annual/quarterly financial report to submit to senior management.
  • Oversees corporate debt facilities, as applicable, and ensures adherence to established treasury rules.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Serve as a key spokesperson to the investment community, effectively communicating NuScale’s business model, growth strategy, and financial results with clarity and credibility.
  • Shape and execute the Company’s investor relations strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with analysts, institutional investors, and key stakeholders to support transparency and investor confidence.
  • Lead preparation of investor materials including earnings releases, conference call scripts, investor presentations, annual reports, and proxy statements.
  • Oversee shareholder CRM and monitor ownership changes, fund activity, and investor sentiment.
  • Represent the Company at investor conferences and roadshows; deliver consistent messaging in coordination with the CFO and CEO.
  • Collaborate across internal teams to ensure alignment between external communications and internal financial performance.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to guide business decisions, capital structure optimization, and long-term value creation.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing FP&A and IR team, fostering professional development and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Partner with the CFO and Controller to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks, including DOE 10 CFR Part 810.
  • Support enterprise-wide initiatives, including capital planning, risk management, and investor engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to corporate strategy development through forward-looking financial modeling and market analysis.
