About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a lead securities product manager to join the product management team to execute the delivery of new products and solutions in support of Futures Clearing Merchant (FCM) business which includes cleared OTC in addition to Futures and Options on Futures. FCM is positioned as a strategic investment area for pursuing new client segments and expanding the current offering to Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Market Makers and other Investment managers. Coverage includes trade executions and clearing, client solutions, risk controls, margin, client billing and system of record (GMI). FCM business has been identified by Wells Fargo as strategic investment area with a multi-year commitment to build product solutions and expand the client offering. The individual in this role is expected to be a dynamic leader who can influence outcomes in an individual contributor capacity, collaborating with partners across business, technology, operations, finance and other support functions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Securities Product Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Futures Clearing in one of the following functional disciplines, Product management, Technology lead, Client coverage, and/or Operations
  • Product and/or Project Management experience including organizing multi-stakeholder prioritization, planning, scope documentation and articulating requirements including use cases and prototype solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in Microsoft Office products, technical prowess for prototyping and data analysis
  • Hands-on experience in using AI tools for project management and requirements development is preferable
  • Experience in product delivery covering Financing lifecycle, Risk and Margining, Client solutions and/or Futures trade execution and clearing
  • Experience with Agile practices and frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, etc.) and workflow and collaboration tools, such as Confluence, Jira and Jira Align
  • Ability to quickly understand the current platform and align with future roadmap for the products

Responsibilities

  • Execute the delivery of complex initiatives or financial, client and risk management outcomes for Securities Product Management.
  • Lead medium to large efforts independently.
  • Identify the origination, modeling, portfolio management and all risk management including compliance and operational risk
  • Review and analyze moderately complex business and operational objectives that require an in-depth evaluation
  • Complete work in accordance with all risk management, compliance and business process expectations
  • Resolve independently moderately complex issues and lead team while leveraging solid understanding of policies, procedures and compliance requirements
  • Conduct due diligence and portfolio administration as necessary and provide research on relevant industry trends
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level to more experienced managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Actively engage in daily product area scrums and biweekly planning calls with technology team to drive execution of prioritized deliverables
  • Draft product scope and business requirement documents
  • Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing across various stakeholders and business aligned teams
  • Execute product delivery for few key initiatives, building partnerships with support functions including technology, operations, finance, credit, market risk, legal, compliance, and back-office teams
  • Drive solutions that directly benefit the business revenue, control environment and/or efficiency
