The MHC Vice President of Facilities & Construction oversees key system-wide functions, including Safety and Security, Maintenance, Engineering and Design, Plant Engineering (HVAC, Maintenance, Energy Center, Grounds), Facilities Operations, and Real Estate Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of leadership experience in engineering, construction, and facilities management within a healthcare environment.
  • Professional Engineer License
  • Deep expertise in TJC/CMS compliance, building codes, and regulatory safety standards
  • Demonstrated success managing capital programs exceeding $10M annually
  • 5+ years overseeing large, complex healthcare real estate portfolios (3M+ sq. ft.)
  • 7+ years leading enterprise-level safety and/or security functions

Responsibilities

  • Oversees budgets for the operations of the facilities design and construction team, in coordination with the MHC engineering Council.
  • Leads the systems ‘s property management team and overseas entire real estate portfolio management.
  • Identifies and drives new technologies that improve care and/or drive efficiencies.
  • Supports the development of a system wide master facility plan, in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure MHC’s facilities are following compliance standards like TJC, CMS and state and other regulatory bodies standards.
  • Oversees the Safety and Security Department, ensuring Munson’s practices, policies and procedures are most current and in line with industry best practices.
  • Ensures safe, high-quality care through supporting and enforcing required education and competencies.
