Vice President, Enterprise Performance Management Office

Azurity Pharmaceuticals - USRaleigh, NC
Hybrid

About The Position

This is not a traditional PMO leadership role. It is a senior governance and strategy position within the Chief of Staff Office, built around Azurity's Management System — the operating discipline that allows a fast-growing pharmaceutical company to execute at scale. You will work in close partnership with the Chief of Staff, acting as a genuine strategy partner: asking the right questions, holding execution to a high standard, and giving leadership a clear, reliable view of what is actually happening across the business. You will also help build something Azurity needs more of: a Management System that is genuinely used, understood, and trusted — one that becomes part of how the company operates, rather than a framework that exists on paper. A significant part of the role is developing the capability of the managers who run the business day to day — giving them the standards, coaching, and confidence to lead their own execution well. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who wants direct partnership with a Chief of Staff and a genuine mandate to build lasting operating capability inside a growing organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise program management, transformation, or strategy execution — pharmaceutical or healthcare experience is a strong plus
  • A track record of leading governance or operating functions, not just delivering individual projects
  • Experience building and leading teams of senior, high-caliber professionals
  • Comfort operating at the senior leadership level as a trusted advisor
  • Familiarity with structured problem-solving approaches such as A3 thinking or Lean methodology
  • Sharp written and verbal communication — you can translate complexity into clarity for any audience
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for executive-level reporting; PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or a similar credential is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to leadership. Act as an extension of the Chief of Staff, helping ensure execution happens across the business, not just plans on paper.
  • Strengthen adoption of the Management System. Champion clear, consistent standards for how work is planned, tracked, and decided, and make them a natural part of how Azurity operates.
  • Develop the capability of frontline and middle managers. Build the skill and confidence of the managers who own execution day to day, so rigor and follow-through do not depend on your direct involvement.
  • Lead a team of Business Partners. Hire, develop, and mentor a team embedded across the business, each acting as a trusted advisor and strategy partner to their part of the organization.
  • Provide visibility into strategic priorities. Ensure the company's top priorities are clearly communicated, and that leadership has an accurate view of what is on track and what needs attention.
  • Lead business integrations. Own the integration of newly acquired businesses, products, or functions into Azurity, and be accountable for their success.
  • Own the Steering Committee. Set the cadence, agenda, and discipline of the company's top governance forum, and keep it focused and decision-oriented.
