About The Position

Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a part of BlackRock, is a leading infrastructure investor that specializes in investing in, owning, and operating some of the largest and most complex assets across the energy, transport, digital infrastructure, and water and waste management sectors. GIP’s scaled platform has over $189 billion in assets under management. GIP focuses on real infrastructure assets, combined with a deep proprietary origination network and comprehensive operational expertise, to be responsible stewards of clients’ capital and create positive economic impact for communities. GIP is seeking to hire a Vice President to join its Digital Infrastructure Private Equity investment team. Vice Presidents will play a key role in underwriting and managing investments on behalf of both GIP’s Flagship Fund and the Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Partnership (AIP) fund.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with strong academic background
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment banking and/or private equity
  • Previous experience in data centers, digital infrastructure, and/or TMT is required
  • Superior analytical, financial modeling, and accounting skills
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • High level of professionalism, intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and self-awareness
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to working in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Financial Modeling: developing, utilizing, and analyzing robust financial models to support deal underwriting and deal structuring.
  • Due Diligence and Execution: working with deal team members to assess and execute new investments. This will include conducting due diligence, financial review, preparation of presentation materials for investment committee, etc.
  • Market Research: performing market research, including research on potential investments, industries, competitive positioning, etc.
  • Portfolio Company Monitoring: assist in the monitoring of portfolio companies including analysis of corporate development, add-on, and financing opportunities, analyzing budgets, interacting with key members of management, and positioning business to be prepared for exit
