About The Position

Ibotta is seeking a Vice President of Corporate & B2B Communications to join their innovative team. This role will work closely with the CEO and CRO to build Ibotta's corporate reputation as a technology leader and elevate awareness of the Ibotta Performance Network (IPN) as a growth engine for CPGs. The position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States. A relocation bonus will be offered to assist with moving to Denver.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of communications experience, with significant time spent in B2B technology, adtech, retail media, or CPG-adjacent industries.
  • A track record of building disruptive, category challenger narratives with demonstrated experience reframing how a market thinks about a product or strategy.
  • Comfortable operating as both a strategic leader and hands-on executor in a fast-moving, founder-led environment — with the builder instincts to create from scratch and the credibility to earn trust at the executive level.
  • Proven track record of securing meaningful earned media coverage and building editorial relationships with blue chip publications.
  • Deep experience developing executive thought leadership programs with measurable outcomes (stage placements, bylines, share of voice).
  • Existing relationships with trade and business press covering CPG, retail, and adtech.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication with the ability to translate complex technology into crisp, executive-ready narratives.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own a cohesive communications strategy that positions Ibotta as a leading enterprise technology company and IPN as the definitive performance marketing platform for CPG brands.
  • Drive a deliberate shift in how Ibotta is perceived by the industry — from consumer loyalty app to full-stack B2B technology partner.
  • Craft compelling messaging frameworks that resonate with CPG, retail, agency, and adtech leaders.
  • Champion a narrative that repositions promotional spend from a cost center to a growth lever, with IPN as the modern alternative to legacy solutions.
  • Partner closely with the marketing team to identify, develop, and amplify thought leadership opportunities across earned media, trade press, and industry publications.
  • Cultivate a vast network of journalists, editors, and analysts across top tier CPG, retail media, and adtech publications.
  • Develop a steady pipeline of bylines, contributed content, and speaking opportunities that reinforce Ibotta's enterprise positioning.
  • Use media monitoring and share-of-voice analytics to measure program effectiveness, identify coverage gaps, and make the case internally for where communications investment is — and isn't — moving the needle.
  • Develop and manage an executive communications program that places the CEO and CRO on prominent stages at marquee industry events (e.g., CES, Cannes Lions, NRF, GroceryShop).
  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor and thought partner to the CEO and CRO — working closely with both to sharpen their public voices, media presence, and industry positioning.
  • Prepare executives for media engagements, speaking opportunities, and high-stakes partner conversations through rigorous messaging prep and media training.
  • Build the public profiles of Ibotta's senior leaders as credible, sought-after voices in retail media and performance marketing.
  • Help executives develop and sustain a consistent, recognizable point of view across digital channels and industry forums — ensuring their perspectives reach relevant audiences between stage appearances and media moments.
  • Develop communications strategies and materials that support and deepen relationships with Ibotta's key distribution and retail partners, including Walmart, Instacart, and others.
  • Serve as a strategic communications partner to business development and sales teams, ensuring partner-facing narratives are sharp, consistent, and compelling.
  • Manage announcements, co-marketing moments, and milestone communications in close coordination with partners.
  • Lead and mentor one direct report, with the opportunity to grow the team as the function scales.
  • Own the relationship with Ibotta's leading external PR agency — setting strategy, managing priorities, and holding the partnership accountable to outcomes.
