About The Position

WSP is seeking a Vice President, Construction Scheduler to join their Project Controls team in Morristown, NJ. This role will involve providing and/or overseeing critical path method scheduling (via Primavera) to support the client’s Program, including design and construction rail transit projects. The position requires developing integrated program schedules based on input from various entities, assessing and recommending solutions for schedule, scope changes, or delays, and coordinating with project teams to assess reporting and identify risks for accurate forecasts. The role is responsible for developing, updating, and analyzing detailed execution schedules for simultaneous projects, establishing baseline schedules, reviewing periodic CPM updates, performing Earned Value analysis, schedule change management, and time impact analyses (TIA) to determine the extent of impacts from potential delays. Recommendations for schedule recovery, recovery schedule reviews, and what-if scenario analysis are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related discipline or equivalent experience.
12 years of experience in developing and managing construction schedules for large rail and transit programs.
5 years of rail field construction experience required
Experienced with critical path method analysis/technique with Primavera.
Project financial forecasting skills.
Change Order and Extension of Time analysis.
Experience working with cross-functional teams.
Experience working within large and challenging Client Programs with one or more project teams.
Effective reporting and communication skills.
Experience in preparing project reports and documentation.
Building Construction and or project management experience
Team player and Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

Providing and/or overseeing critical path method scheduling (via Primavera) to support client’s Program including design and construction rail transit projects.
Developing integrated program schedules based on input from the various entities including designer, contractor, third party etc.
Assess and provide recommendations to resolve schedule, scope changes or delays to the project team and executive management.
Coordination with project teams to assess reporting and identify risk and create accurate forecasts.
Responsible for developing, updating, and analyzing detailed execution schedules for simultaneous projects.
Establish baseline schedule: summary and detailed review of baseline durations, logic, resources, costs, cost curves, resource histograms.
Review periodic CPM Updates, provide Primavera schedule comparison reports and detailed reviews.
Perform Earned Value analysis reports, schedule change management and review of change orders.
Perform time impact analyses (TIA) to determine the extent of the impacts of potential delays.
Provide recommendations for schedule recovery. Recovery schedule reviews and perform what-if scenario analysis.
