We’re looking for a Vice President, Community to steward the experiences, relationships, and human touch points that preserve and strengthen RTI's culture as the company grows. This role turns RTI's mission and Playbook into meaningful human touch points across the full Artisan journey, while building external partnerships that extend RTI's influence as a redemptive, generous, and impactful business. This is an integrative leadership role that works across the enterprise to protect what is distinct about RTI, strengthen the human experience of work, and translate ownership's convictions and legacy aspirations into durable strategies, partnerships, and practices. The Vice President, Community is accountable for stewarding RTI's culture but is not solely responsible for creating it. Every leader at RTI is responsible for carrying culture through daily leadership. This role exists to equip, strengthen, and connect those efforts through care, community, mission, traditions, and shared experiences.

Requirements

• Deep personal alignment with RTI's mission, faith-based identity, servant leadership philosophy, and commitment to excellence.
• Executive-level presence with the humility and warmth to build trust with frontline Artisans, families, leaders, partners, founders, and community stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success translating convictions and values into operating practices, experiences, partnerships, and measurable outcomes.
• Entrepreneurial builder who can create clarity from ambiguity, move between strategy and hands-on execution, and establish durable systems without over-institutionalizing the work.
• Exceptional relational judgment, emotional maturity, discretion, and steadiness in both celebratory and difficult moments.
• Strong written, verbal, facilitation, storytelling, and external-representation capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, assess opportunities, conduct diligence, prioritize investments, and follow through with operational discipline.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant leadership experience.
• 15+ years of progressive experience leading culture, community, mission, philanthropy, social impact, entrepreneurship, people-centered initiatives, or a comparable portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead a multi-year enterprise culture and community strategy aligned to RTI's mission, Playbook, business strategy, and growth trajectory.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the EVP People, executive leaders, and ownership on culture, community, care, mission activation, and legacy-building opportunities.
• Identify where growth, change, geographic dispersion, or business pressure could dilute connection or create a gap between stated values and lived experience; mobilize practical responses.
• Define a clear operating rhythm, annual priorities, governance, decision rights, and measures of impact for culture and community work.
• Partner with leaders to embed culture into everyday leadership practices, not only signature events or communications.
• Lead RTI's generosity strategy in close collaboration with ownership, including philosophy, objectives, portfolio priorities, processes, roles, and responsible stewardship of budgets.
• Develop, recommend, monitor, and deploy grants, investments, sponsorships, and other forms of support with clear rationale, diligence, and accountability.
• Build a thoughtful portfolio of local, national, and global partnerships that aligns RTI's resources, relationships, expertise, and Artisan energy to meaningful impact.
• Steward partner relationships from introduction and vetting through ongoing advocacy, care, evaluation, and, when appropriate, transition or conclusion.
• Represent RTI externally at partner gatherings, conferences, community forums, fundraising events, and redemptive-business networks.
• Use RTI's experience to encourage other organizations and entrepreneurs seeking to integrate faith, human flourishing, generosity, and business excellence.
• Own the strategy and intended outcomes for enterprise experiences that build connection, reinforce culture, and deepen shared identity; partner with others on execution.
• Steward signature traditions and introduce new practices thoughtfully, preserving authenticity and avoiding activity for activity's sake.
• Partner with Communications to identify and share stories that make the mission tangible, honor Artisans and partners, and invite participation without turning care into publicity.
• Create listening channels and feedback loops that surface where Artisans feel connected, unseen, celebrated, or unsupported, then translate insights into action.
• Lead through influence across business lines, geographies, and levels, building commitment without relying on formal authority.
• Create disciplined systems for prioritization, budgeting, partner diligence, event and experience planning, risk management, communications, and follow-through.
• Exercise managerial courage by saying no, sequencing work, and protecting focus when ideas do not align to strategy, capacity, impact, or stewardship.
• Handle sensitive personal, family, faith, and ownership matters with exceptional judgment, confidentiality, humility, and care.

Benefits

• Support Center Artisans are working a hybrid schedule. 3 days/week in the office and 2 days/week at home. However, several weeks require multiple days in the office (e.g. New Hire Orientation week, Summit, etc.).
