About The Position

Presidio is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the company's technology strategy, infrastructure, and digital transformation agenda. Operating within a private equity-backed, growth environment, this executive will be responsible for driving scalable technology solutions that support aggressive business expansion, operational efficiency, and competitive differentiation. The CIO will report directly to the CFO and serve as a key member of his leadership team, shaping the technology roadmap in close alignment with enterprise financial and operational objectives. A component of this role is executive oversight of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), ensuring that security strategy, risk management, and compliance programs are fully integrated with enterprise technology initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in systems modernization, AI-enabled operations, M&A-driven integration, and leading high-performing technology organizations through transformational change.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including 5+ years as a CIO, CTO, or equivalent enterprise technology executive.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.
  • Demonstrated experience operating within or reporting to private equity-backed companies, with direct exposure to PE-driven value creation and due diligence.
  • Proven track record leading technology organizations through rapid growth, including M&A integration, organic scaling, and geographic expansion.
  • Deep expertise in large-scale ERP, EDW, or enterprise systems implementations (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) from business case through post-go-live.
  • Hands-on experience developing and executing enterprise AI and automation strategies with measurable business impact.
  • Experience providing executive oversight of a CISO function and owning enterprise security strategy at the board level.
  • Exceptional executive presence with the ability to communicate complex technology concepts to non-technical audiences including Boards, and C-suite peers.
  • Strong financial acumen; experience managing multi-million dollar IT budgets and presenting technology ROI to investor audiences.
  • Track record of building cohesive, high-performing technology teams in matrixed and fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution and drive results under pressure.
  • Collaborative, cross-functional leader who earns credibility through expertise, integrity, and delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, TOGAF) are a plus.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in managed services, professional services, technology distribution, or similarly complex multi-segment businesses.
  • Familiarity with PE reporting cadences, 100-day plans, and value creation frameworks.
  • Experience leading IT through a full PE investment cycle — from acquisition to exit.
  • Exposure to NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar security and compliance frameworks.
  • Prior experience with enterprise-wide data and analytics platform modernization.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a forward-looking technology strategy aligned with Presidio's growth thesis and long-term business objectives.
  • Partner with the executive team to translate business strategy into executable technology roadmaps with measurable outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary technology advisor to the executive team, communicating risk, opportunity, and investment rationale clearly.
  • Build and maintain a technology governance framework that supports data-driven decision-making and portfolio performance reporting.
  • Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, including ERP, EDW, HRIS, and other core systems modernization efforts.
  • Oversee full lifecycle of major technology implementations — from vendor selection and program governance to go-live and post-deployment optimization.
  • Champion process automation and intelligent workflow solutions that drive operational efficiency across finance, operations, sales, and service delivery.
  • Establish and enforce technology architecture standards, ensuring systems scalability and interoperability as the company grows organically and through acquisition.
  • Partner with our Chief Transformation Office to develop and implement AI strategy, including identifying high-value use cases in areas such as predictive analytics, workflow automation, customer experience, and financial modeling.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI/ML platforms, tools, and capabilities into Presidio's technology stack in a responsible, scalable manner.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technology trends and advise executive leadership on strategic implications and investment priorities.
  • Foster an innovation culture within the IT organization, encouraging experimentation while maintaining rigorous delivery standards.
  • Provide executive oversight and strategic direction to the CISO, ensuring that cybersecurity programs protect company assets, data, and customer trust.
  • Ensure enterprise-wide alignment between IT strategy and security posture, including compliance with relevant regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with the CISO to develop and present security risk assessments and remediation roadmaps to the executive team.
  • Drive a culture of shared security responsibility across the organization.
  • Partner with the CFO to identify and execute technology-driven value creation opportunities that support EBITDA expansion and exit readiness.
  • Lead technology due diligence and post-acquisition integration for M&A transactions, ensuring rapid value realization and minimal disruption.
  • Develop and maintain IT financial models, total cost of ownership analyses, and ROI frameworks to justify technology investments.
  • Prepare and present technology performance metrics, investment analyses, and strategic updates for the executive team.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing technology organization capable of executing on a complex, multi-year transformation agenda.
  • Attract, retain, and develop top technology talent; establish succession plans and capability development programs.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity within the IT function.
  • Manage technology vendor relationships, strategic partnerships, and outsourcing arrangements to maximize value and manage risk.
