About The Position

This leadership role leads the Global Electronics and High Tech Procurement team of 40+ people, managing over $1 billion in spend and 500+ suppliers. The role reports to the Chief Procurement Officer of GE Healthcare. Requirements

  • 15+ years of Sourcing experience, with 7+ leading large global category management teams
  • BS/BA from accredited college or university required
  • Deep category and domain knowledge in Electronics, High Tech, EMS, Semi-conductors required
  • Proven leadership ability of Global Categories
  • Proven ability in building world-class strategic category management teams
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate at a board level, internal and external c-suite level
  • Ability to manage global, remote and virtual teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a global team of 40+ people responsible for leading the global category for GE Healthcare, embodying GE Healthcare Leadership Values and converting the team into a high-performing one.
  • Lead the formulation of 1-3-5-year strategies for all sub-categories within scope, assessing, defining, and building category strategies collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business segments.
  • Develop strategic supplier relationships consistent with the company’s vision and long-term objectives, ensuring 3-5 year plans are in place and communicated to internal stakeholders.
  • Drive product costs down by 5%+ year over year through supplier negotiation and design change ideas, partnering with engineering and manufacturing with a total cost of ownership mindset.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of markets for managed categories, including key players, indices, and trends, articulating opportunities and challenges, and driving cross-functional conversations with an enterprise mindset.
  • Drive best-in-class Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service through supplier partners.
  • Manage global category spend, driving strategic partnerships with global category and segment teams, managing strategic and leverage suppliers through a designed program, and developing a catered strategy for tail spend and suppliers.
  • Mitigate Sole & Single Source risk by designing programs with supply chain and legal teams, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive alternate suppliers, substitute materials, processes, and technology, and developing business continuity plans for enterprise risks.
  • Partner with Strategic and Core Suppliers to drive market-changing innovation focused on improving patient experience and meeting customer needs, facilitating dialogue between supplier and GE Healthcare cross-functional teams to drive a Supplier Innovation roadmap.
  • Lead, facilitate, and participate in cross-functional teams for design improvements, cost reduction opportunities, and value engineering with an eye on innovation.
  • Pursue Scope III reductions by partnering with suppliers and leading with a Recycle, Renew, Rework, Refurbish, Repair methodology, keeping company's ESG interests in mind.
  • Proactively support new program launches as a subject matter expert and an equal partner, bringing necessary functional perspective.
  • Work closely with Procurement’s Center of Excellence team to drive supplier compliance with FDA, EHS, transportation, and other regulatory and reputational requirements.
