About The Position

The Vice President, Care & Support leads the national strategy, design, and delivery of the Alzheimer’s Association’s comprehensive portfolio of care and support programs serving individuals living with dementia, caregivers, and the broader public across in-person, virtual, and digital platforms. This role is responsible for advancing a scalable, person-centered care ecosystem that spans the full disease journey and integrates seamlessly with healthcare systems, community organizations, and public health initiatives to improve access, quality, and outcomes nationwide. The Vice President provides executive oversight of the Association’s 24/7 Contact Center and enterprise-wide dementia care navigation services, ensuring consistent, high-quality, and accessible support for individuals and families across all channels. This position oversees the implementation of randomized control trials on Association core programs in an effort to illustrate their evidence base. In addition, the Vice President serves as a national thought leader and subject matter expert, guiding the development of programs, resources, and content, and representing the Association with media, donors, and key stakeholders. This position plays a critical external leadership role, representing the Association in partnerships with governmental agencies, national organizations, and cross-sector collaboratives, and advancing the Association’s leadership through presentations, convenings, and national forums.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social services, aging, business or related field.
  • 10+ years experience leading and implementing nationwide campaigns
  • 10+ years experience in person-centered care/culture change
  • 10+ years experience in grants management and operations
  • 10+ years nonprofit management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of dementia care and support programs
  • Expert in person-centered care/culture change delivery systems
  • Expert in quality improvement implementation across delivery systems
  • Exceptional and proven consensus building skills
  • Proficient in managing complex relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leader in product/market development
  • Proven communicator and spokesperson on quality dementia care
  • Ability to travel

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Association’s portfolio of evidence- based programs by leading an interdisciplinary team of internal and external stakeholders in the development, evaluation, and implementation of education and support programs.
  • Oversee early stage initiatives including ESAG and other external stakeholder groups, newly diagnosed platform and My ALZ Journey app.
  • Lead strategic innovation in programs and services for individuals, families and community (i.e., AI)
  • Oversee operations of the Association’s suite of online programs including AlzConnected, Alzheimer’s Navigator and Community Resource Finder, and portfolio of online education programs
  • Provide executive oversight and strategic direction for the design, development, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide dementia care navigation services nationwide
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a 24/7 helpline composed of information and referral specialists and care consultants.
  • Track metrics and build new systems for changing needs including chat and AI functions.
  • Serve as pointperson for Major Gifts, Foundations, Corporate Initiatives and Donor Services to build fundables portfolio, proposals and represent programs to potential donors.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for, and represent the Association to, media, funders and partners.
  • Performs other duties assigned.
