About The Position

The Vice President, Business Operations & PMO Lead serves as a strategic partner to the COO, helping turn priorities into disciplined execution across Financial Services Technology & Operations. This leader drives governance, financial management, portfolio oversight, workforce planning, and operational excellence across a complex, multi-functional organization. They also create clarity for senior leadership by aligning teams, improving visibility into performance and risk, and enabling informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in business management, PMO, strategy, operations, or financial management roles within technology and/or operations organizations.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience supporting senior executives and managing cross-functional governance, planning, and operating rhythms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience leading financial planning activities including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in large-scale technology and operations environments within financial services.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting transformation programs involving modernization, AI adoption, cost optimization, or operating model change.
  • Master’s degree in business, finance, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the COO by supporting strategic planning, operating cadence, leadership communications, and executive-level materials including board updates, business reviews, and leadership presentations.
  • Lead annual and multi-year planning, business reviews, and reporting rhythms that track KPIs, standardize insights, and align strategic programs to enterprise and business priorities.
  • Own financial oversight across the organization by managing budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cost discipline, productivity tracking, ROI measurement, and optimization of run-versus-change spend and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the portfolio of strategic initiatives by driving alignment, prioritization, delivery visibility, risk and dependency tracking, and escalation and resolution of critical execution issues across business units.
  • Lead headcount and workforce strategy, location strategy, vendor management, and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen process efficiency, governance maturity, reporting automation, and transformation initiatives including modernization, cost optimization, AI adoption, and operating model evolution while partnering across technology, operations, finance, HR, and executive leadership.
