About The Position

Comcast is seeking a senior leader to shape how the company communicates in a rapidly changing information environment. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, the Vice President will partner with senior leadership to develop capabilities that strengthen how Comcast understands, reaches and influences important audiences. The role sits at the intersection of communications, technology and AI, identifying where emerging technologies can create meaningful advantage and translating those opportunities into practical capabilities that strengthen Comcast’s reputation and communications impact.

This is a strategic builder and operator role for someone with communications and reputation expertise, strong curiosity about technology, and the ability to move from vision to execution. The leader will anticipate changes in the information environment, assess their implications for Comcast, and build durable capabilities that can be adopted and scaled across the Communications organization.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience across communications, digital transformation, technology, consulting or related fields, including significant senior leadership experience and experience deploying new technologies and AI.
• Demonstrated experience building new capabilities and leading complex transformation in a large, matrixed organization or across major enterprise clients.
• Strong understanding of communications, reputation and the changing media and information environment.
• Deep fluency in emerging technology and AI, and ability to translate technical possibilities into clear communications and business applications.
• Experience developing and deploying technology-enabled products, platforms or capabilities from concept and testing through adoption and scale.
• Ability to connect audience insights, data, content, distribution and measurement into an integrated communications approach.
• Proven ability to advise and influence senior executives and collaborate across Communications, technology, data, legal, risk and business teams.
• Strong business judgment and ability to prioritize opportunities based on strategic value, feasibility, risk and measurable impact.
• Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Builder and operator mindset, intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, bias to action and comfort in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
• Experience delivering results in high-performing, cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Understand and apply Comcast’s Operating Principles; put customers first, advocate for the company’s technology and digital experiences, work collaboratively, participate in the Net Promoter System, drive results and growth, support inclusion, and act responsibly toward colleagues, customers, investors and communities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with functional leaders and teams to build communications capabilities, identifying opportunities to use technology, AI, data and emerging platforms and developing solutions that can be adopted and scaled across the organization.
• Shape the evolution of external communications as information discovery, consumption and synthesis change, helping ensure communications about Comcast, its leaders and priorities are authoritative, accessible and accurately represented.
• Use audience, reputation and media intelligence to identify opportunities, inform communications strategy and develop approaches to reaching and influencing priority audiences.
• Apply technology, AI and data to improve how content is created, tailored, distributed and measured for employees and external audiences, and develop new ways to inform, engage and connect with them.
• Identify emerging technologies and approaches with potential communications or business value, advancing promising opportunities from experimentation to scale.
• Lead adoption of new capabilities across Communications and establish ways of working that improve the function’s speed, effectiveness and impact.
