About The Position

Turner Industries is seeking an Industrial Vibration Technician for maintenance work in Chesterfield, VA. The ideal candidate will have verifiable vibration tech experience on their resume. The Vibration Technician will perform electrical tests and vibration analysis using various portable electronic equipment, field balancing, laser alignments, installing and removal of electric motors and other electro-mechanical equipment, and interpret and ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures. This role involves reading blueprints and schematic drawings, dismantling machines, moving machinery and equipment, assembling and installing equipment such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers, and aligning machines and equipment using the reverse alignment method. The technician may also operate an engine lathe, repair and lubricate machines, and be involved in grouting activities for equipment base plates.

Requirements

  • Verifiable vibration tech experience on resume
  • Certified Level 1 or 2 vibration analyst
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and rotating equipment preferred
  • Must be physically able to climb stairs and ladders
  • Must have current TWIC card
  • Experience installing and removing electric motors and other electro-mechanical equipment
  • Able to perform basic math functions
  • Able to understand, perform and retain various job related training, operational, and safety procedures
  • Four years of experience in specified skill
  • Written pre-employment qualification test

Responsibilities
