Westbrook Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or a newly licensed RVT to join their supportive and collaborative team. Requirements
- Current North Carolina Veterinary Technician license
- Strong technical and patient care skills
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
- Confidence performing blood draws, catheter placement, and diagnostics
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to continue learning
- Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
- Dependability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Newly licensed RVTs encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Safely restrain dogs and cats for medical procedures and patient care
- Monitor anesthesia and document patient vitals during procedures
- Perform laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, and sample collection
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Place IV catheters and support surgical procedures
- Prepare surgical instruments and maintain sterile operating areas
- Support veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Educate clients and communicate patient updates compassionately
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and compliant hospital environment
