About The Position

Valrico Animal Clinic is hiring an experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician for a full-time position. This is a mixed animal practice offering a diverse caseload including dogs, cats, avian, and exotic patients. The role involves assisting veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures, performing laboratory testing, administering medications, monitoring anesthesia, caring for hospitalized patients, performing phlebotomy and IV catheter placement, assisting with dentistry, and educating clients. The clinic is AAHA-accredited and fosters a collaborative, supportive environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth.

Requirements

• 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
• Strong technical skills (anesthesia, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement preferred)
• Passion for patient care and client education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Evening and alternating Saturday availability
• Team-oriented mindset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities
