CityVet Lower South End is a growing veterinary hospital located in the heart of Charlotte's vibrant LoSo neighborhood. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Experienced Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our growing hospital. The RVT/Veterinary Assistant plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, client education, and contributing to a positive and collaborative hospital culture.

Requirements

  • Licensed RVT, Experienced Veterinary Technician or Assistant with at least 2 years of clinical experience
  • Strong technical skills (blood collection, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology and lab procedures)
  • Surgical and Dentistry assisting experience
  • Top-notch communication and client education skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support teammates
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures.
  • Collect patient histories and assist with client education
  • Perform lab sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
  • Assist with radiographs, dentistry, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarian
  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas wile maintaining hospital cleanliness and organization
  • Support hospital operations and contribute to a positive team culture
